CRIOREX® Emulgel is a cold-action Medical Device that uses the principles of cryotherapy to relieve muscle and joint pain caused by contusions, strains, dislocations, sprains and trauma related to physical activity and sport. The application of CRIOREX® Emulgel creates an immediate cooling effect on the surface of the skin.

CRIOREX® Emulgel, formulated with salsobromoiodic Hyperthermal Water, disodium EDTA, magnesium and sodium silicate, alcohol and ozonated oil, also contains ingredients with moisturising and naturally soothing properties for the skin. Its application provides an immediate refreshing effect on the surface, accompanied by a pleasant minty fragrance. Thanks to its composition, CRIOREX® Emulgel facilitates the natural process of oedema absorption, making it ideal for use in first aid to relieve swelling and pain, while offering immediate relief to the affected area.
Hyperthermal water, 100% natural, from one of the deepest geothermal wells in the Euganean Thermal Basin (Thermalis® source), with properties that favour the physiological restoration of cartilage, and the trace elements and minerals it contains reinforce the effectiveness of Criorex® Emulgel, helping to strengthen its mechanical action.
How to use CRIOREX® Emulgel :
Directions for use : Gently apply a thin layer of gel-cream 2 to 3 times a day to the painful area, massaging gently until completely absorbed. This gel-cream is specially formulated to relieve muscle and joint pain resulting from contusions, strains, dislocations, sprains and trauma. It is particularly recommended for sportspeople and people whose professional or personal activities place regular, intense demands on their bodies.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep out of reach of children. In the event of irritation, discontinue use immediately. Do not apply to damaged skin, open wounds or people with skin problems. Not recommended for children under 6. For external use only. Do not ingest. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Avoid in cases of proven hypersensitivity to ingredients. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, consult a doctor before use. Do not use on newly-formed skin. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Composition
The exclusive formula of Criorex contains hyperthermal water from the Euganean thermal basin and a mix of active ingredients with a draining, vasoprotective, analgesic and tissue regenerating effect.
Active ingredients
– Sodium magnesium silicate, clay with a draining and purifying effect;
– Euganean hyperthermal water, extracted from one of the deepest therapeutic wells in the territory and rich in beneficial properties that assist the physiological processes of restoration of cartilage trophism and reduction of inflammatory phenomena in the physiatric field;
– Denatured ethyl alcohol, with an astringent cold effect;
– Ozonated oil, able to recall oxygen and thus promote cell regeneration;
– Disodium EDTA, iron chelator that attenuates the bluish colour of hematomas;
– Menthol, which has an important cooling, draining and tonic action on musculature; it also promotes circulation;
– Menthyl lactate, with a persistent cooling action;
– Anthocyanins, substances that act at the level of the connective tissue of blood vessels, making the walls more elastic and toned and reducing interstitial effusion.
Urea, which has an emollient and softening action. Urea is naturally present in the layers of the skin; in particular, the molecule is a natural component of NMF (acronym for Natural Moisturizing Factor, the natural moisturizing factor of the epidermis). Not surprisingly, creams formulated with urea are indicated to replenish the NMF, while increasing the water content in the stratum corneum. By effectively retaining water molecules, urea deeply moisturize the skin, softening the skin layer and promoting the healing of small skin cracks.
Mechanism of action
The application of Criorex®, generates an instant and long lasting cold effect on the skin, acting both with the alcohol contained in the formula and with menthyl lactate, attenuating the painful symptoms. Thanks
to its composition it facilitates the natural process of absorption of edema, the attenuation of bluish coloration (disodium EDTA) and swelling. It protects and makes blood vessels elastic thanks to the contribution of anthocyanins, regenerates tissues providing oxygen and promoting the healing process.
